AIMEE ROWLING

Aimee is currently Head of Development at Bentley Productions. She joined the company in January 2014 as Script Executive and was promoted to her current position in October 2014.  Whilst at Bentley, Aimee has developed and script exec’d HARRY PRICE: GHOSTHUNTER, written by Jack Lothian, an original 1 x 120’ drama for ITV.

Prior to this, Aimee worked on the critically acclaimed Neal Street/BBC1 hit show, CALL THE MIDWIFE, as Script Editor on Series 2 in 2012 and Series 3 in 2013.

After graduating with an English Literature degree from Newcastle University and following a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from The College of Law, Aimee joined The Agency in 2003 as Assistant to literary agent Bethan Evans, where she worked with writers including Russell T. Davies, Heidi Thomas, Sally Wainwright, Tony Marchant and Adrian Hodges.  In 2006, Aimee moved to Maverick TV where she became Development Assistant to the Head of Drama Juliette Howell, working with writers such as Jack Thorne and Ben Vanstone, and contributed to the development and research of the BBC2 two-part drama DIVE written by Simon Stephens and Dominic Savage.

Following a brief spell in factual programming at ITV Studios and Maverick TV where she co-created and developed the daytime show LIVING DANGEROUSLY for BBC 1, Aimee joined TV Producer Jake Lushington at Marcus Evans Entertainment (now World Productions) in 2009 where she developed and script edited THE BLETCHLEY CIRCLE written by Guy Burt, a 3 x 60’ period crime drama for ITV1 which was broadcast in 2012 and went on to be commissioned for a second series.
