Tom is a new writer whose first television script, THE BROTHERHOOD, recently won him second prize in the Screenwriting Goldmine competition, which received almost 400 entires. Last year, Tom won the BBC award in the Triforce Network’s inaugural WriterSlam competition, a scheme designed to discover new writing talent. He has subsequently been invited to take part in the BBC’s Continuing Drama Workshop.

As an actor, Tom’s career began in theatre, his first job after leaving LAMDA being at the National Theatre, before going on to work with companies like the RSC, Almeida, Royal Court, Donmar Warehouse and the Globe, as well as in the West End. More recently, his focus has been on screen work, including lead roles in the Emmy award winning BBC/Starz production of THE WHITE QUEEN, the Emmy-winning series HATFIELDS AND MCCOYS (alongside Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton), and most recently the new Kurt Sutter series, THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER.

He has also appeared in popular ongoing shows such as ENDEAVOUR, PRIMEVAL, WATERLOO ROAD, NEW TRICKS, SPOOKS, SILENT WITNESS and CASUALTY.
